Getting Started with JetBackup

Once you have agreed to the agreement/policy, you'll be introduced to the JetBackup interface and dashboard.

This centralized hub provides you with:

  • Dashboard: An overview of JetBackup's statistics, alerts, and recent activities related to your server.
  • Restore & Download: Manage, execute restores, and download options for both account and directory backups.
  • Downloads: Conveniently view and access generated downloads.
  • Alerts: Keep track of alerts generated by JetBackup processes associated with your account.
  • Queue: Monitor the progress, and status, and even cancel queued JetBackup processes linked to your account.

Managing Your Backups

With JetBackup set up, you have the ability to manage various backups including:

  • Full Backups: Manage full backups, and handle configuration backups.
  • Home Directory: Take control of file backups.
  • Cron Jobs: Manage backups for Cron Jobs.
  • Databases & Database Users: Handle backups for both databases and database users.
  • DNS Zones: Manage DNS Zone Backups.
  • Certificates: Oversee SSL Certificate Backups.
  • Email and FTP Accounts: Manage backups for both email and FTP accounts.

Advanced Features

  • Create Backup On Demand: Allows for creating a full account snapshot, ideal for use before upgrades or changes. This can be rolled back if necessary.
  • Encrypted Backups: This offers an encrypted backup option that restricts us from offsite backups of your account and requires a unique encryption key. This key needs to be stored safely as it is required for restoring and downloading encrypted backups, as well as modifying backup type preferences. Without this key, we will not have access to perform actions with your backups on your behalf.

To back up your DNS, simply create the task and download it to any location that suits your needs.
