Sometimes you have the need to move WHMCS to a new location.

This is a simple process and running a search on this will yield several ways of getting this done.

  1. Remove anything that may conflict with WHMCS from your public_html directory.
  2. Login to your WHMCS Admin panel and change the system URL to either https://www.domain_name.com/directory/ or https://billing.domain_name.com or https://www.domain_name.com/  - (Setup > General Settings > General > WHMCS System URL).
  3.  Move all WHMCS files to the directory of your choice directory.  cPanel File Manager makes this easy but you can also use SSH.
  4.  Re-issue your WHMCS. You may contact us if your WHMCS license is from us.
  5. Go back to your WHMCS Admin login and enter the new license code when it's requested.
  6. Now, delete & re-add any WHMCS related cron jobs you may have running.  You will see the correct cron settings at Setup > Automation Settings.

Since  WHMCS recommend locating the cron directory outside of the "docroot" to prevent browser-based access, you may have moved to this.

So do remember to must provide the correct path to where your WHMCS installation now resides to allow the cron task files to communicate with the parent WHMCS installation.

If you are unable to do this, please reach out to our technical support team at https://dashboard.webhostingmagic.com/submitticket.php.
