There is something extremely important to point out.
WordPress can be managed on our systems using either:
- WordPress ToolKit or
- Softaculous WordPress Manager
If after going through the benefits of WordPress Toolkit or you have been using WordPress ToolKit and prefer it to Softaculous WordPress Manager, please stick to using it alone.
If you are a Softaculous WordPress Manager user and prefer it over WordPress Toolkit, please stick with it.
Do not mix these two as there may unforeseen issues that pop up as a result.
If you are using WordPress Toolkit and will not want to move back to Softaculous WordPress Manager, log in to your cPanel server, scroll down to Applications and click on the WordPress Toolkit.
Once the page loads, use the Detach button to remove it from WordPress Toolkit.
You can then either use Softaculous Import to import/re-import it back to Softaculous WordPress Manager.
If you are a Softaculous WordPress Manager user and would prefer to move to WordPress Toolkit, log in to your cPanel server, scroll down to Applications and click on the WordPress Toolkit.
Once the page loads, use the Scan button to import your WordPress(es) to WordPress Toolkit.
There are three things to bear in mind.
- WordPress installations that were installed using WordPress Toolkit CAN NOT be detached.
- WordPress installations installed manually or via Softaculous CAN be detached.
- Detaching a WordPress installation from WordPress Toolkit will stop WordPress Toolkit from managing it.
All that said, uninstalling WordPress Toolkit will stop it from managing any WordPress installations.
Every step of the processes above is automated and all that is needed is the click of a button that initiates the process.
