Once you have bought your SSL/TLS certificate, you can use the Digicert Cert Central Guest Access to reissue each SSL certificates you bought.
The URL is www.digicert.com/account/guest-access/
Once there, you will be asked to provide the domain name, the email address you used for the order and complete a captcha challenge.
This will then take you to your User Portal where you can click the Request Access button.
A confirmation email will then be sent to you.
Click the link in the email to view the status of the SSL order and reissue the certificate.
You can also perform various management actions regarding your SSL/TLS certificate.
Reissuing an SSL Certificate Via Our Billing System
Log in to your account on our billing system.
Navigate to Services > My Services in the client area menu.
This will list all the active services you have as a customer.
Click the SSL you wish to reissue to take you to that SSL's product page.
If the SSL is an add-on to a hosting account, select the hosting account product, then choose the "Addons" tab to locate the SSL.
Click the Reissue Certificate button in the Actions sidebar.
Paste the new CSR then click Continue.
How Long It Takes For My SSL/TLS Certificate To Be Issued?
The time it takes for an SSL Certificate to be issued will vary depending on the type of SSL Certificate.
Please note that some processing may take longer if additional information is required for the following:
- Domain Validation: Typically within minutes. In some rare cases, can be held for additional validation.
- OV & EV: Digicert begins processing all orders within one business day and your SSL Certificate will be issued once authentication is complete.
During the validation process, Digicert will send you communications on any required actions that need to be completed by you such as validating the business or organization.
Authentication for new certificates could take 24 hours or up to several days, depending on the verification information you provide and whether or not your certificates are pre-approved.
Can An SSL Be Reissued To Another Domain?
Once issued an SSL Certificate cannot be reissued to a different domain name.
If you wish to use an SSL Certificate for a different Common Name, you will need to purchase a new SSL Certificate.
