The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is an initiative of the European Union to simplify payments within and across member countries.
It is an established and enforced banking standard that allows for the direct debiting of every EUR-denominated bank account within the SEPA region.
Customers from Europe can opt for the payment option.
The payment option supports both recurring and on-demand billing is supported.
But please do note that this is a delayed notification payment method.
It can take up to 6-14 business days for our account team to confirm the success or failure of a payment you have made.
During that time, your order might show "on hold" or "pending" status.
The invoice will also be placed in Payment Pending until the payment has cleared.
For existing customers, you can elect to use your previously-stored bank account or enter a new one.
Using this payment option is secure as it can possibly be.
Your information is submitted directly to our payment processor, Stripe, and never stored in our systems.
Lastly but more importantly, EUR is currently the only supported currency when using SEPA.
So please do select EUR when checking out.
For other currencies, the option won't appear when placing orders or paying invoices.
Restrictions:
Unlike credit card disputes, SEPA Direct Debit disputes are final and there is no process for appeal
Customers can dispute a payment for up to eight weeks after an account is debited and the refund is automatically honored.
Because of this and to better protect ourselves from those that might want to take advantage of this loophole, the request to use this option is granted on a selective basis.
We only use allow SEPA Direct Debit payments only when it is a trusted and verified customer.
