We never want to disrupt someone from using Web Hosting Magic but to protect those we serve, we may occasionally restrict or suspend accounts if we're concerned about fraud or other negative impacts on our hosting platform or customers.

If we've placed a hold, restriction, or suspension on your account, we'll have also sent you an email explaining what happened, and what you'll need to do to have your account reinstated.

You'll find a copy of this message at https://dashboard.webhostingmagic.com/clientarea.php?action=emails

If we've placed a hold, restriction, or suspension on your account, it's usually for one of the following reasons:

Non-payment of Web Hosting Magic fees

We know that things happen and perhaps, you haven't seen the many emails we have sent regarding this.

To resolve this, please log in and clear all pending payment(s).

We're unable to verify your account information

Sometimes, we may also restrict or suspend your account if the payment method on file is out of date or has recently been declined and our system is unable to automatically renew your hosting with us.

To remove this suspension, you'll need to update your payment method.

How to have your account reinstated:

Getting your account reinstated may be as simple as waiting for a temporary suspension to finish, making changes to your listings, or sending us some more information – it depends on the reason why we suspended your account.

The full details will be in the message we sent you.

If your account was restricted or suspended because of outstanding fees, you can make a payment to resolve the issue.

When we receive your payment, your account will be reinstated.

Go to your Account and follow the instructions.

Tip: Most account restrictions or suspensions can be resolved by making a payment or by following the steps we gave you in the email in Web Hosting Magic messages.

What happens when an account is suspended

During a suspension, you can't access our services but when your account is reinstated you'll be able to leave feedback for any transactions you completed in the previous 30 days.

It's important to remember too that while an account is suspended, your website or application will not be online.

Depending on why an account was suspended, we may end terminate your account early.

If we remove your account because of a policy violation, eligibility for reinstatement will depend on the situation and will take into account any previous policy violations.

If you're an affiliate, your payouts will be blocked until your suspension, restriction, or non-payment hold is resolved.

Fake account hold and suspension notices

Please watch out for spoof (fake) emails about account holds or suspensions.
